Purpose and technical function

Frac heads, often called goat heads, connect several high-pressure pumping lines to a common vertical bore. Outlet quantity, orientation and connection type are arranged around the frac programme, rig-up geometry and erosion/load requirements.

Service basis	Standard or sour service, with metallurgy, hardness, seals and trim confirmed against the approved fluid composition
Inspection and testing	Material traceability, dimensional inspection, NDE and pressure/functional testing according to the approved ITP
Documentation	Datasheet, drawings, MTRs, NDE and pressure-test records as specified in the purchase order
