A hammer lug union joins two flowline components through a threaded nut with external lugs. Matching male and female subs, a pressure seal and the wing nut create a compact connection that can be assembled or released without rotating the connected piping.
Technical features
Figure-numbered pressure and service classes
API line-pipe thread or butt-weld end options
Forged-steel components selected for the pressure rating
Three-lug wing-nut arrangements
Low-temperature impact-tested options
Sour-service materials and hardness control where specified
Interchangeability to be confirmed against the required union system and dimensional standard
Typical applications
Fracturing and cementing iron
Choke and kill lines
Circulating and testing lines
Temporary high-pressure manifolds
Quick-connect field piping
